About keeping new projects down to just a few things. Right now I do not have a baby rug going, but there is a gift that needs done. and I should find a quick working pattern to do. Hubby made the request for this give and I can’t tell him no.
I have been working on a top down crochet shawl and it is going well, I have to look and see if I have any wool in reserve or I need to head to Spotlight for more. The only scarf I have going is Phil’s and even though it is a slow process a couple of rows a day should get it done.
I am still trying to organize the hospital knitting and I have a little vest for the NICU started and hope that will do quick. I can do one in about 2 to 3 days if I put everything else on hold.
I started a Mystery Afghan from the Crochet Crowd and Yarnspiration and waiting for clue three. I need to get better at getting the clue finished and back to other stuff.
At not starting so many projects….
Sort of. I just started a new mystery follow along with yarnspirations, there is still time to join as the second clue just came out today.
I am doing the crochet one but keeping the clues and might try the knit one later on.
I got the second baby blanket delivered and now can start another one. The only scarf I have is the one for Phil and I would like to get myself in the routine of doing 2 rows a day with it. Being the Entrelac Pattern is takes a little longer but I am enjoying the pattern. It should make a nice afghan when I get the time to try it.
I have a blanket started in Entrelac but I am thinking I might give it away for now, there are too many mistakes in it and I am not happy. I do have a correct hook now but my daughter Kendria has made a request for a blanket for Camp Quality,so that takes place over anything else.
I am still devoting one day to hospital work and I am hoping that I can get that going more on a regular basis.
Time for me to go yarn diving
One of the things I am trying to do with time off from regular writing is to get some projects organized and the yarn is one of them. Looking at my stash and seeing what I have, what projects I have and finishing those already started. I am taking a cue from of the ladies blogs I follow of not starting more than 3 projects at one time. Well, I have way too many, 8 to be exact, and that needs to change. Most of what I have going are all rugs/afghans, the small knitting is Phil’s scarf in Entrelac, and the knitting for the hospital. That is one thing I need to get going again, its been too long. I want to devote on day a week to the hospital stuff.
I still would love to get a store going but I need to build up the things I would sell. There are some great simple patterns out there and I have a few in mind for creating some unique pieces. A store is on the bucket list now but with the writing doing well, it might have to stay there for now.
I have one cross stitch project going but its a big one. I might put it on hold for some smaller projects that I can take with me also. Lots of new ideas but its making the time.
I am off to go wool diving
